MyClass.games is made for teachers. Students play on the teacher's screen and never need an account. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep and why.

| What | When | Why | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your name, email, school (optional) and password | When you create an account | To sign you in, reset your password and send important account emails | Our server. The password is stored only as a secure hash, never as text. |
| Favourites, your topics and settings | When you use the site signed in | So they follow you to other devices | Our server |
| Class lists, student names, photos you add, scores and tool settings (Who's Next?, Silly Seat, Class Stars, Team Maker…) | When you type them into a tool | So the tool remembers your class next lesson | Signed out: only in this browser on this device. Signed in: also saved to your account so you can use them on another computer. |
| Usage statistics: a random visitor number, pages viewed, games opened, play time, searches, device type, browser, screen size, language, time zone, the website that sent you, and your approximate country and city | When you visit (unless you switch statistics off) | To see which games teachers use, find errors and improve the site | Our server, for up to 12 months. Your IP address is used once to find the country and city and is then kept only as a scrambled code, never in full. |
| Error reports (what went wrong and where) | When a page or game has a problem | To fix bugs | Our server, up to 12 months |
| Feedback and game ideas you send | When you send them | To answer you and improve the site | Our server, until the request is handled |
| Payment records (plan, amount, date, status) | When you buy Premium | To give you Premium and keep accounting records | Our server. Card numbers are never seen or stored by us. |
Noise Detective uses the camera and microphone, and Shout It Out uses the microphone, only after you press Allow in your browser. The sound and picture are measured live on your computer to show the noise level. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded. If you say no, the games still work: Shout It Out has a button to pump the balloon instead.

We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
The site used to live at games.bellinks.com. On your first visit to the old address, your browser hands over the class lists and settings it had saved there straight to myclass.games, so nothing is lost. This happens in your browser: the data passes through our server only to be written into your browser and is not stored.
The whole site uses an encrypted connection (https). Passwords are stored as secure hashes. Admin access is protected by a separate login. If something ever goes wrong with your data, we will tell affected users by email as soon as we can, and the authorities where the law requires it.
If we change this page in an important way, we'll say so in the bell 🔔 on the home page.
